Kid-friendly activities to try these Winter holidays

Sydney Aquarium

The Sydney Aquarium is one of the best places to visit these winter holidays. Spend the day looking at the magnificent kaleidoscope of sea creatures on display. Watch the Dugongs being fed, marvel at the beautiful sharks, stingrays and large fish; and make sure to take the boat ride and see the penguins. A fun and refreshing activity for kids and grown-ups alike.

Sydney Wildlife Museum

Centrally located, Darling Harbour’s Wildlife Museum presents a great opportunity to see some amazing Australian flora and fauna. From wombats and wallabies to the butterfly sanctuary, you will be in awe of the beautiful displays. It’s a really great spot to learn about Australian wildlife and get close to the animals in a safe and controlled environment.

Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo is always a good idea, any time of year! Get close to some of the most spectacular creatures in the world. See the giraffes, chimpanzees, elephants and tigers. Watch the seal show, explore the reptile display and have an absolutely wonderful time. Taronga Zoo is one of the best-kept zoos in the world with amazing facilities for animals and a great layout meaning exploring is both fun and easy for visitors. Make sure to get there nice and early to ensure you get a chance to see all the animals!

Luna Park

One of our absolute favourites, Luna Park is a great place to visit during the holiday season. Go on your favourite rides ( with or without the kids), indulge in some fairy floss or caramelised popcorn and spend the day in the happiest of atmospheres. Luna Park truly has a little something for everyone.

Picnic at the Royal Botanical Gardens

The Royal Botanical Gardens have something marvellous happening throughout most of the year. This holiday season, see the pollination display at the Calyx- showcasing more than 18,000 plants combined into a beautiful and colourful, floral artwork that is grand and impressive. Follow your explorations with a tasty picnic under one of the beautiful old trees and get your dose of vitamin d and fresh air!
